AP Specialist to assist in focusing on AP after recapitalization and restructure.Position Summary:As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations. You will be responsible for processing and managing all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors while maintaining a high level of accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities:Invoice Processing:Receive, review, and process invoices in a timely manner.Verify the accuracy of invoices, including matching with purchase orders and delivery receipts.Resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.Payment Processing:Prepare and process weekly/monthly check runs and electronic payments.Ensure all payments are made in accordance with established payment terms.Reconcile vendor statements and address any outstanding issues.Expense Reports:Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.Communicate with employees regarding any discrepancies or missing documentation.Vendor Management:Maintain positive relationships with vendors and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.Assist in the setup of new vendors and ensure all required documentation is collected.Month-End Closing:Support month-end close activities related to accounts payable.Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger.Compliance:Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
